We are looking forward to welcoming all pupils back to School tomorrow morning. We are also looking forward to meeting our new Year 7 pupils and those joining us in the Lower Sixth, and to helping them to settle into their new School. We understand that some pupils may be feeling anxious or concerned having had such a long period of time away from School, but there will be plenty of support on hand and we hope pupils will enjoy an exciting first day of the new School term as they reconnect with friends or make new friends at WHSB.
A message from our PA: We've been paid by #easyfundraising! Thanks to everyone who has raised money for us. If you're not supporting WHSB, please sign up now. It takes 2 minutes & 4,200+ shops will donate to us for free every time you shop with them! Visit https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/westcliffhighschoolforboys/payments/63/
We congratulate our Year 11 students on an outstanding and well-deserved set of GCSE results this year. Having achieved 80% of all grades at 9-7 these GCSE results are amongst the School's best ever. Over a quarter (28%) of GCSE entries were graded 9. These results reflect the quality of work undertaken by students and staff across the last two academic years and we are proud of their achievements. These pupils have endured much uncertainty over the last five months since the Government's announcement that the examinations would not take place and, despite these challenges, the response of our pupils, the staff and parents has been impressive. I commend all involved in securing these superb results this year. We wish the students every success as they move to the next stage of their education. Headmaster
