GCSE (Key Stage 4) Performance

For 2023, the following key statistics regarding GCSE (Key Stage 4) performance are available:

  • Progress 8 score: 0.91 (in the highest 16% of all schools)
  • Attainment 8 score: 78.1 (in the highest 20% of all schools)
  • Percentage of pupils who achieved a strong pass (grade 5 or above) in English and Mathematics at the end of Key Stage 4: 99%
  • Percentage of pupils entering for the English Baccalaureate (EBacc): 99%
  • Percentage of pupils who achieved the English Baccalaureate (grade 5 or above): 90%
  • Percentage of students staying in education or employment after Key Stage 4: 100%

A Level (Key Stage 5) Performance

For 2023, the following key statistics regarding A Level (Key Stage 5) are available:

  • Average points per entry for a student's best 3 A Levels: 46.6 (where A = 48, in the highest 20% of all schools)
  • Percentage of students achieving at least AAB in their best 3 A Levels: 44% (in the highest 20% of all schools)
  • Percentage of students completing their main study programme: 99%

  • Percentage of students pursuing Higher Education undergraduate study: 89%
  • Percentage of students securing 1st choice university destination: 60%

  • Most popular university destinations: Leicester (14), Queen Mary (10), UEA (8), Nottingham (8), Cambridge (7)
  • Percentage of students securing an apprenticeship placement: 3%

Publication of Examination Results

Public examination results of individual students are published in the School's annual Speech Day Programme.  In addition, the results of some individuals may be shared with the local press and published online to celebrate students' successes. Should students or parents have an objection to the publication of their results, they should contact the Main Office.
