Lower Sixth Chemistry students take part in the University of East Anglia's (UEA) Chemistry Programme

This month, fifteen Lower Sixth Chemistry students from WHSB were invited to take part in the University of East Anglia's (UEA) Chemistry Programme, offering a front-row seat to university level science. This exciting opportunity, designed to help bridge the gap between A Level studies and higher education, enabled students to participate in engaging practical activity and to work in state-of-the-art teaching laboratories.

In addition to the hands-on chemistry laboratory session, students attended a Chemistry taster lecture and a "Why Study at University" presentation, a science-focused talk exploring the career paths and life-changing benefits of a degree. A tour of the award-winning Norwich based campus followed, together with an informal student question and answer session with current UEA undergraduates, to get the real story on student life.

With thanks to Mr Wightman for facilitating this informative and inspiring trip.
